Remember more than a year and half ago a film starring Venkatesh was launched with great fanfare? The reason was that for a change the senior star was doing a solo movie with hot and happening director Maruthi and it generated lots of curiosity.

In due course though, a controversy erupted and the film failed to take off as a result. Grapevine is abuzz in the industry that this “combo” might be revived again. It won’t exactly be the same film but rather the combination of Venky with director Maruthi.
The director is currently making a film with actor Nani which is generating quite a good buzz in the industry. Once the director is done with this film, he is expected to join hands with Venkatesh for new project. Let’s hope that if this combo materializes there aren’t any glitches this time around.
