Puri's-Comments-on-Mahesh-Babu.-Who's-RightIs Mahesh obligated to Puri because the director gave him two successful films?

This should be the first question that must come to our minds when Puri made some uncanny comments on Mahesh Babu. Currently, his ‘iSmart Shankar‘ is turning a commercial hit despite being strictly an average fare.

Perhaps, the commercial success gave him the license to talk about Mahesh Babu in an interview complaining that Mahesh Babu works with only successful directors.

“Even if Mahesh says okay now, I wouldn’t be okay to do a movie with Mahesh,” said Puri. Was there any hope that Mahesh would do a film with the director who gave six flops in a row without even minimum promise that the director would strike back?

Puri failed Pawan Kalyan when he came back for ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’ after the successful ‘Badri’. He failed Ravi Teja after two super hits and gave him two flops ‘Neninthe’ and ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’.

Though Puri gave Chirutha with Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi picked up Vinayak instead of Puri as he wasn’t impressed with what Puri came up with for his comeback film. After ‘Deshamuduru’, Puri gave a flop to Allu Arjun (Idharamnaayilatho).

So, each of the above-said heroes gave the second chance that he failed at. It was only Mahesh Babu who Puri didn’t get to work with after the gap. That’s why he is blaming Mahesh Babu in particular.

Puri Jagannadh gave six flops (List below) in a row and during that phase, any star hero can’t risk because of the obligation of the previous hits. At the end of the day it’s show business and a big hero can’t just take things for granted.

Jyothy Lakshmi (2015)
Loafer (2015)
Ism (2016)
Rogue (2017)
Paisa Vasool (2017)
Mehbooba (2018)

Mahesh fans might have asked Puri on social media to make a film with the superstar as Puri is adept at elevating the heroism of the protagonist like no one else and Mahesh fans are missing that. But, that doesn’t mean, Mahesh is obligated to work with Puri who is delivering back to back flops. Agree?
