Vijay Deverakonda’s last true blockbuster, both critically and commercially, was Geetha Govindam (2018), and now the same combo is back in theaters with ‘Family Star’.
‘Family Star’ has Gopisundar on board, who delivered chartbuster audio for Geetha Govindam, but he couldn’t repeat the magic this time. However, the theatrical release a couple of days ago received a positive response.

Since it’s a subtle family-oriented trailer cut, it won’t instantly increase the buzz or hype around the film. The hype should gradually build through songs, but Gopisundar should be blamed for it. Now we have to see if he compensates with BGM in the actual film.
Vijay, known for giving his all for his movies and publicity, made a statement that will please fans. He said ‘Family Star’ is like ‘Geetha Govindam’ on steroids.

This statement is really big, and if Parasuram, who failed to use the golden chance given by Mahesh, delivers a film like ‘Geetha Govindam’ on steroids, Vijay’s pull will do the rest of the job.
