Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, he said that his first and only major condition when director MS Sripathy started penning ‘800’ was that his life shouldn’t be fictionalized. The icon suggests that the film will have many takeaways because most of the story hasn’t been known to the general public. The selection process itself saw some unknown incidents. He also reveals that Natural Star Nani’s movies such as ‘Jersey’, ‘Eega’ and ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ fascinate him. “Nani’s films give primacy to drama and emotions,” he says.
‘800’, whose music is by Ghibran, will be released in Sinhalese in Sri Lanka and other countries where Sinhalese-speaking people live.
