Balayya Puri Jagannadh

Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently busy with Akhanda 2, which is being planned for a Dussehra release. Once this project is wrapped up, he will reunite with director Gopichand Malineni, who previously delivered Veera Simha Reddy.

Reports suggest that Gopichand has crafted a power-packed story, which has excited Balayya, and an official announcement is expected soon.

Apart from this, K.S. Ravindra (Bobby) is also in Balakrishna’s director lineup. Meanwhile, another name that surfaced recently is Puri Jagannadh. Puri directed Balayya in Paisa Vasool, which was a flop but a treat for Nandamuri fans, showcasing him in a completely new mass avatar.

Back then, Puri wanted to make another film with Balakrishna, but things didn’t materialize. Now, with no major offers in hand and after the crushing failure of Liger and Double iSmart, Puri is reportedly approaching Balakrishna again for a project. He desperately needs a lifeline now to survive in the industry.

He is trying to set up a project with Gopichand, but he also is trying to team up with an in-form hero like Balakrishna.

However, given Balakrishna’s strong lineup and current form, the chances of him teaming up with Puri are almost zero.
