Mahanati is the Landmark film in Keerthy Suresh’s career. Her performance in the movie is stupendous. But then, many fear if the actress is stuck in the wheel of the ‘women-centric films’ image. Her latest film, Penguin released, a couple of days ago on Amazon Prime Video is on similar lines.
Her next films – Miss India and Good Luck Sakhi are also films in the same direction. Anushka got a similar image after the super success of Arundathi and attempted films like Vedam and Panchakashari to market her image but failed. Somehow, even after doing some usual films, she never really bounced back.
Keerthy Suresh will run into similar problems if she is after that image. Films like Mahanati and Arundathi rarely come our way and it is not possible to replicate them consciously. Keerthy Suresh should be aware of that and plan her career carefully.
Keerthy has a chance to do that with films like Rang De and Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
