Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who made waves with Arjun Reddy and later with the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, is preparing his next big film Spirit with Prabhas in the lead. As Telugu cinema grows globally, filmmakers are working hard to match international standards, which often leads to long shooting schedules. Most stars also choose to give full attention to just one film at a time.
Prabhas is taking a different route. Rather than slowing down between projects, he is balancing several films and staying busy. At present, he is wrapping up The Raja Saab with Maruthi and Fauji directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. While The Raja Saab is almost done with filming, Fauji too is progressing quickly.
After finishing these projects, Prabhas will move into Spirit. Though announced some time ago, the film has not started shooting yet. Following the success of Animal, Sandeep Vanga has been fine-tuning the script to match his grand vision. His target is to finish both the shoot and post-production of Spirit in only one year. This is an ambitious goal since big films usually take years to complete. If he pulls it off, it will be a rare achievement.
The film’s buzz increased after Triptii Dimri was confirmed as the female lead opposite Prabhas. This will mark her second time working with Sandeep Vanga after her breakout role in Animal. The casting has raised expectations even higher among fans.
