The D-day has arrived for Varun Tej as his film Mukunda releases today. Curiosity over the film has seen a great seesaw over the course of making and release. The film, one might have forgotten now, was launched with a great fanfare and a live telecast.
Naga Babu, brother of Chiranjeevi couldn’t make it big as a star as he was hampered by unpreparedness. Unlike his star brother Chiranjeevi, whose passion was to became a star and his kid brother Pawan Kalyan, who had ample time to shape his career learning from the success of his star brother, Naga Babu was caught in an in-between position where he couldn’t do much to boost his film career as a star and finally settled in as a producer.
So when Varun Tej was announced to make his debut as an actor, the first thing on everyone’s mind was that can he fulfil the unfulfilled desire of Naga Babu by becoming a star. Can he achieve what his father couldn’t? His looks become an additional plus for him as the recent entrants from ‘Mega’ family has been short on that score.
Sympathies attached with Mega brother, good looks and director made Mukunda a hot project at the beginning but now as the film releases today it has lost some sheen. Will Varun Tej overcome all that and make his father and fans proud?
