Remakes aren’t always the same as the original and usually the original stands out though. Very rarely a remake comes out better than the original. In a candid chat film maker Goutham Menon talks about his films and especially his most successful film ‘Em Maaya Chesave’.

When Rajamouli questioned how he could weave the magic of Jessie, Goutham Menon shared his thoughts before the audiences of LV Prasad Film & Tv Academy. He thought that the original starring ‘Shimbu and Trisha is far better than the Telugu version ‘Em Maaya Chesave’.
The director says, ‘With due respects to Naga chaitanya and Samantha, Shimbu is a very good actor and he completely gets into character and so he supplied a lot of candid shots.’ Coming to remakes, he means to say, mostly they don’t turn better than the original.
