100-Bed Hospital: Work Begins in Pithapuram

The work for upgrading the primary health center in Pithapuram to a 100-bed hospital has commenced. The necessary material and equipment are being brought to the location.

The ground breaking for additional buildings, operation theaters, rooms for doctors, in and out patient wards worth Rs 35 crore was inaugurated by Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan.

Back then, he had promised to provide corporate-level facilities to the locals. Towards this end, the company that got the contract has started getting the material. Heavy machinery reached Pithapuram to lay piles foundation.

To take the machinery inside, the board and lights in front were removed. Following that heavy machinery was taken inside. The work will begin in a couple of days, said the officials.

Initially, the government facility housed 30 beds which are now being increased to 100. Pawan Kalyan had said during ground break that with the support and guidance of PM Modi and CM Chandrababu, Pithapuram would be brought on to development path.
