New York state is sending 1 million n95 masks to New York City and the state is conducting trials for new drug therapy. FDA will send 10k doses of hydroxychloroquine + Zithromax which is said to be effective when used even though there is no scientific backing.
Chloroquine is used to treat malaria, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. It is said to be effective in treating patients with mild-to-moderate COVID-19 to potentially reduce the duration of symptoms, as well as viral shedding, which can help prevent the spread of disease. FDA is refusing to endorse it but with no cure available, there is no other way to dry the drug as well.
