The Pithapuram assembly constituency has the attention of all of Andhra Pradesh as it has Janasena supremo Pawan Kalyan in the contest. Pawan is leaving no stone unturned to lead a winning campaign here, and on the other side, he is alleging that the ruling party YSR Congress is going out of its way to defeat him.
A short while back, media reports emerged, claiming that liquor bottles worth Rs 80 lakh were seized in Kumarapuram, YSR Garden area of Pithapuram. Over 2560 liters of liquor were stored in a single house, amounting to the said tally.
The Excise Police Department caught the illegal liquor holding and immediately seized the same.
This comes right after Pawan Kalyan alleged that the YSR Congress deployed 40 smugglers in Pithapuram with the intention of defeating him. He remarked that sandalwood smugglers and anti-social forces are at large in Pithapuram and they are here with the only intention of defeating him.
The shocking correlation between Pawan’s comment on smugglers and the subsequent seizure of liquor bottles is catching the attention all over.
