4210 MLA and 731 MP Nominations Received In AP

The nomination process for the upcoming General Elections in Andhra Pradesh has finally ended. The Election Commission’s officials announced that the process has been concluded at 3 pm today for all the assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.

A total of 731 candidates filed their nominations for the 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state. On the other side, 4210 leaders are in contention for the MLA positions in 175 assembly constituencies.

The nominations will be examined tomorrow (April 26). The last date to withdraw nominations is April 29. The officials stated that barring a few disturbances in a few places, the nomination process has been concluded smoothly in all constituencies of the state.

The nomination process has started on April 18. Over the last one week, the state was busy with nomination filings, rallies and affidavit submissions. Now, the campaigns will get further intensified.

The alliance of the Telugu Desam Party, Jana Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party is contesting against the ruling YSR Congress Party in these elections. The polling will be held on May 13 and the results will be declared on June 4.
