Director Ram Gopal Varma, who is being hunted by the AP police, has been absconding for the last few days. Yesterday, he released a video stating that he hadn’t absconded and questioned why he was being scrutinized for comments he made over a year ago. However, people are questioning why, if he has done nothing wrong, he is avoiding the police.
Meanwhile, the High Court is expected to give its verdict on RGV’s anticipatory bail petition today. Currently, six teams of police are hunting for RGV in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
A total of nine cases have been registered against RGV for the derogatory comments he made against Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh during the promotions of his film Vyuham.
RGV was supposed to attend police questioning last week but skipped it and sought more time. In the meantime, he filed an anticipatory bail petition.
Two days ago, he was supposed to attend questioning again but skipped it once more. As a result, Ongole police landed in Hyderabad, but he went absconding.
Last night, he released a video stating he is busy with a shoot and requested more time to attend the hearing. However, it is evident he will remain absconding until the court gives its verdict on his petition.
