AARA Masthan’s Unconvincing Ans on 2014 Exit Poll

AARA Masthan Unconvincing Answer

AARAA Masthan’s Survey is the only Survey Agency that gave a chance to the YSR Congress. Around 40 Survey Agencies have given surveys about Andhra Pradesh, thirty-five of them are saying TDP+ will win Andhra Pradesh.

Masthan said the YSR Congress would win 94-104 seats in the state with a vote share of 49.41%. He predicted that the alliance parties would secure 71-81 seats with a vote share of 47.51%.

AARAA got the 2019 AP results right and so, YSR Congress supporters and leaders are trying to put up a brave face.

But then, it should be mentioned that AARAA has got the 2014 AP Elections Survey wrong.

MAHA TV Vamsi asked the same to Masthan and the explanation he gave is totally unconvincing.

He said that AARAA only did a Pre-poll survey then and did not do a post-poll hence the wrong result.

He asked to verify the date on the Survey Report and said it was way before the nominations began.

MAHA Vamsi said the date is April 21st, 2014. The last date for nominations is April 9th, 2014. So, it was published after the nominations.

After Vamsi said the date, Masthan quickly corrected it and said the Survey was conducted 100 days before that.

The Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act was passed in the Parliament on 18th February 2014. Telangana’s creation became a reality and from then, there was a change in the mood of Andhra Pradesh as people believed the state needed an experienced leader like Chandrababu.

18th Feb, 2014 is well within the 100 days Survey Period of AARAA.

If the survey was conducted 100 days before, the survey did not reflect the mood of Andhra Pradesh.

Masthan repeatedly mentioned that the survey was commissioned by Deccan Chronicle which was Pro-YSR Congress.

Is he hinting that he gave a Pro-survey even after the mood change to suit DC’s narrative?

That means Masthan is admitting that his surveys will suit the needs of those who commissioned them!
