Senior actress Radhika Sarathkumar is contesting in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar constituency, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party.
As Tamil Nadu has its polling in the first phase of elections, candidates started filing their nominations. Even Raadhika submitted her nomination on Monday.
Raadhika declared the total value of her assets as Rs.53.45 crores. In her affidavit, Raadhika stated that she has Rs. 27.05 crores of movable assets, including cash of Rs. 33.01 lakhs, 75 tulas of Gold, and 5 kg silverware.
She termed that her immovable assets are worth Rs. 26.40 crores. She also mentioned a debt of Rs. 14.79 crores.
Raadhika’s husband Sarathkumar had recently merged his AISMK Party into the BJP. As a part of their pact, Raadhika secured the MP ticket.
Late actor-politician Captain Vijayakant’s son Vijaya Prabhakaran is contesting against Raadhika in the Virudhunagar constituency. He is representing his father’s DMDK party, in alliance with the AIDMK.
