YS Sharmila has been appointed as AP Congress President and she is already on the verge of attracting the rebel YCP leaders into the party. Not just rebel leaders, Sharmila appears to be attracting other YS family members as well.
The latest news is that YS Sunitha, the daughter of YS Viveka is also likely to join Congress very soon. She has opened talks with Sharmila already, it seems.
Having his two sisters Sharmila and Sunitha fighting against him will not be a good sight for Jagan and it will also throw a negative personal vibe on him to the public.
If Sunitha joins Congress, she is all but confirmed to get an MLA or MP ticket as well, and more likely in the Kadapa district which is a stronghold of the YS family.
Sunitha had waged a long battle against Jagan and his party men by demanding the CBI investigation on the murder of his father YS Viveka. She firmly stood against Jagan’s camp then. If she enters active politics against Jagan now, then it could be more of a personal battle for Jagan in Kadapa.
In the days to come, Sharmila could attract more leaders against Jagan and could directly weaken YCP.
