Amaravati CRDA Tenders for PMCs

The process has begun for the construction of the capital city of Andhra Pradesh and Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) is taking some concrete steps in this direction.

The focus is on building a secretariat, assembly and High Court in Amaravati. The CRDA has issued tenders for project management consultants (PMCs) to kickstart the process.

Already, water removal from Secretariat towers is coming to an end and the CRDA has decided to call for PMC tenders.

The PMCs will have to estimate the costs to be incurred following which tenders will be decided. Once the contracts are given to companies, PMCs will also look into the ground-level developments as the projects progress.

Once the PMCs do their estimations, tenders for secretariat, assembly and High Court will be called for. As of now, tenders worth Rs 11,000 crore are to be called for.

It is known that Rs 31,000 crore have been taken as loan from World Bank, ADB, HUDCO and other bodies. Already Rs 20 crore worth tenders have been called for.

To begin with, tenders for CRDA were called for. Then Happynest tenders were called. Then CRDA called for LPS Infra for tenders for roads, drains, sewerage and other infrastructure.

Tenders were also called for Amaravati flood management project and Amaravati Development Corporation too called for tenders for some major basic amenities works.




For now, tenders have been called for major works.
