Andhra Pradesh’s upcoming state capital, Amaravati has got all the environmental clearances. Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar confirmed that his ministry had given all clearances for the capital construction and the process for this is complete.

The National Green Tribunal had issued a stay on the capital construction works until all the necessary environmental clearances are obtained. Some even said that Foundation event also can not take place as a result and the land has to be leveled for the event.
However with this clearances, road is clear for the Foundation event on October 22nd as planned. However the details of the clearances are not known yet. It is not clear if the clearances are for the entire 33000 acres area or only the seed capital area.
