The chief minister of AP, YS Jagan and his party troops created high tension by announcing R-5 zone in Amaravati, as a part of which they distributed house plots to outsiders. The government even vowed to build houses free of cost in 1400 acres.
Amaravati farmers were quick to approach the high court about the same, requesting the court to stay the advancements of the AP government regarding houses construction in this zone.
In accordance, the high court, on Thursday morning issued a stay order on the construction of houses in the R5 zone in Amaravati.
The high court ordered the government not to proceed with the houses construction till the final orders from the High Court and the Supreme Court are out.
Jagan promised to build 50,000 houses to people from outside Amaravati in this R-5 zone but it didn’t have all the necessary legal clearances for the same. Now, the high court has issued a stay order on this project.
