Planned like a modern airport, the station will spread across 1,500 acres with 24 platforms and four terminals, capable of handling 3,00,000 passengers daily.

The Central government will invest Rs 2,245 crore in the mega project, which includes a 57 km broad-gauge line, a 3.2 km bridge over the Krishna River, and direct rail links to Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.

Construction is expected to be completed within two to three years, giving a strong push to regional connectivity, economic growth, and development in the Amaravati capital region.
