The proposed Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Government Complex in Amaravati on 30th of this month (Vijaya Dashami Day) is now postponed. The Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu did not like the designs of Assembly and High Court.

He expressed his displeasure with Norman Fosters and Partners for their disappointing work and said they are not trying to match his thoughts and aspirations. The new designs may be confirmed by October-end. The Chief Minister asked CRDA officials to send film director Rajamouli to London.
This is to ensure that he communicates his thoughts and ideas to Norman Fosters and Partners. But all this only means more delay to the prestigious constructions and the target of completing these buildings may not happen by the next elections.
Media has mentioned the criticism of Opposition about the delay. But Chandrababu rubbished all that saying, “These are the people who go to courts to stall the project and in turn say there is a delay. These buildings will stay for generations. I will not compromise on that,”.
