Ambati Rambabu has approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court amid a major controversy over his use of unparliamentary language against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The issue has sparked widespread political and public reactions across the state.

Ambati Rambabu was booked under sections that could lead to a jail sentence of up to seven years. He filed a petition seeking to quash the criminal case, claiming that the charges were part of a conspiracy to implicate him in serious offences.

Currently in remand, Ambati Rambabu filed a lunch motion petition before the High Court. The Andhra Pradesh High Court accepted the petition and agreed to hear his plea challenging the criminal proceedings initiated against him. The High Court will hear the case on February 11.

Earlier, the trial court had issued orders for his remand. Through his petition, Ambati Rambabu requested the dismissal of the cases registered against him, reiterating that the action taken was politically motivated.

The incident has angered many citizens across Andhra Pradesh and has also triggered a caste based narrative in public discourse. The ruling party has urged people not to be misled by what it termed as false narratives.

Leaders have appealed to citizens from all communities to remain calm. They stressed that law and order must be maintained while the legal process takes its course.
