The bail petition filed by former minister Ambati Rambabu was not taken up for a final hearing today. The court has postponed the matter to tomorrow.
Ambati Rambabu was arrested recently after cases were booked against him for his remarks during a political protest. Police registered cases alleging that his statements were offensive and could lead to a law and order problem. Following his arrest, he was produced before a special mobile court, which sent him to judicial remand.
After being sent to jail, Ambati Rambabu approached the court seeking bail. His lawyers argued that the case was politically motivated and requested relief. However, the court decided to defer the hearing and adjourned it to the next day.
The case has become a talking point in political circles, with leaders from both sides reacting strongly. All eyes are now on tomorrow’s hearing, which is expected to bring more clarity on his bail plea.
