Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi portray Lord Rama and Maa Sita in the newly released track Rangulu Ranguley from Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana. The song features elaborate palace settings and scenes depicting the couple’s wedding.
The song, composed by A. R. Rahman, explores the emotional depth of their relationship. Beyond the palace settings of Ayodhya, it transitions into their journey into Vanvas, highlighting moments of duty, faith, and togetherness. The visuals also feature landscapes and scenes of Rama wielding Shiva’s bow and arrow, reflecting the scale of the film.
Composer A. R. Rahman has created the melody to reflect the purity and tenderness of Rama and Sita’s bond. The Telugu version features vocals by Raghav Kaushik and Vaishali Samant, with lyrics adapted by Rakendu Mouli. Following Yash’s Ravana Thandavam and Rama tracks, Rangulu Ranguley adds a melodic element to the album.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features an ensemble cast including Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Produced by Namit Malhotra, DNEG and Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana Part 1 is scheduled for a global IMAX release on 5th November.
