Ambati Rambabu

Ambati Rambabu is one leader who gave his everything to the party after the elections. While every YSR Congress leader is trying to play safe with the new Government, Rambabu is coming before the media every day and is bashing the Government.

But then, he seems to be lacking the trust of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Rambabu is of the Sattanepalli Constituency. He represented the seat between 2019 and 2024.

In fact, there were rumors that Ambati Rambabu would be moved out of Sattenapalli in the last election but he got the ticket at the last minute.

He lost the election with a whopping 27,836 majority.

Despite being active in the party even after the defeat, Rambabu was moved out of Sattenapalli.

Guntur West is a TDP Stronghold. The assembly constituency was formed in 2009.

Although the Congress won that election, the TDP has won three times since then.

In the last election, Vidadala Rajani, who contested there on behalf of the YSRCP, lost with a huge majority.

Jagan shifted her to Chilakaluripet, and this time gave the responsibility of Guntur West to Ambati.

Leaders like current MLA Galla Madhavi and Mayor Kovelamudi Ravindra have maintained the TDP’s strength there.

Since the constituency has a large vote bank of BCs as well as Vaishya and Kamma communities, winning there will not be easy.

Rambabu is not a leader who has his own strength. He relies on the party’s strength to win elections.

He is more of a back-office leader.

Putting him in a difficult seat like Guntur West means giving up on that seat.

Jagan may have accommodated him in a lost seat, or will be moving him to another seat, or will deny a ticket just before the elections.

We will have to see if this will demotivate Rambabu and if he will remain silent!
