Amaravati to come up in 53676.7 acres

Chandrababu naidu Prakash javadekarAndhra Pradesh government had let out the land use policy document of Amaravathi. According to that, AP’s upcoming capital will come up in 53676.7 acres out of which about 33000 acres are collected through land pooling while the remaining land is acquired through de-notifying of existing forest lands.

Majority of the land will go for houses, roads and green cover. The farmers will get back 12002.54 acres as their share of land pooling. The document has all the details of land allocations for residences, roads, universities, hotels, theme parks, high speed rail, hospitals, industries, sports stadiums, water bodies, golf courses etc.

The de-notification request for the forests is pending with Union Forests and Environment ministry. Recently the concerned minister, Prakash Javadekar promised early clearance of the file. For the forests that are going to be cleared, the state government will have to give similar quantity of land in some other area to improve green cover.
