The last phase of the polling of the 2024 General Elections will be held on June 1. The counting will be held and the results will be declared on June 4.
Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena stated that all necessary arrangements have been made for the counting process. He said that the final results would be announced between 8 pm to 9 pm on that day.
In the total 175 constituencies, the counting process for 111 constituencies will be completed by 2 pm, for 61 constituencies by 4 pm, and for the remaining three constituencies by 6 pm.
For the 111 constituencies, there will be 20 rounds of counting, for the 61 constituencies, there will be 21-24 rounds of counting, and for the remaining three constituencies, there will be more than 25 rounds of counting.
Mukesh Kumar Meena also stated that Section 144 will be implemented in areas where there is a risk of violence, and senior police officials will be deployed to prevent any unlawful activities.
He mentioned that special focus will be on the districts that witnessed acts of violence after the polling. Strict vigilance will be maintained in these districts.
