
YS Jagan discussed the state budget and other issues during a press meet at Tadepalli at the YSRCP headquarters.

Jagan said Babu’s government was not listening to the opposition due to which he had to address the media.
The budget had hardly any allocations for Super Six and 143 guarantees. Babu surety, future guarantee has become Babu surety, deception guarantee, he said.

Prior to elections, Babu and his adopted son had boasted of Super Six, seven. They promised 20 lakh jobs and Rs 3000 for unemployed.
But the reality is totally different, Jagan said. They have claimed they gave 4 lakh jobs. And even got the Governor to tell lies, he said.

In 2024-25 socio-economic survey, the alliance government claimed they gave 27 lakh jobs in MSME sector. How can they do that without presenting it in the budget, wondered Jagan.
They said Rs 18,000 will be given for women between 18 and 60 under Adabidda Nidhi which did not happen. The women in the state are still waiting for free bus service.
The students were promised Rs 15,000 for every child in the family. For Talliki Vandanam Rs 5386 crore was announced. But it remains to be seen if it will be implemented.
Same is the plight of rythu bharosa. Through Annadata Sukhibhava, Rs 20,000 was promised. But Babu is known to cheat farmers. If he does not give them this time, he will owe them Rs 40,000.
As Deepam scheme will not be implemented, mere figures were announced.
Rs 80,000 crores are required for Super Six, Seven schemes. Last year only Rs 800 crore were spent on them. This year, only Rs 17,719 have been set aside for them.
Education sector has gone awry in Babu’s governance, Jagan alleged. He went on to say that only 62 lakh people were given pensions and there have been cuts in funds for pensions.
There are no Amma Badi, Vidya Deevena, Vasathi schemes. YSRCP will be fighting for them on March 12 along with students and parents, informed Jagan.
Agriculture, health, education are in a bad plight. They cheated the mirchi farmers and didn’t buy even a single kilo from them, pointed out Jagan.
When the state had debt of Rs 4 lakh crore in 2014-19. By 2024, it was Rs 6 lakh crore. Even the CAG reports show the same. But the alliance government claimed it was Rs 10 lakh crore. They even made the Governor quote the same figures.
The state is barely getting revenues. All money is going into the pockets of Babu and his people. Even the economists are unable to decipher the budget. It is a play of numbers. But they are calling it Baahubali budget, said Jagan with sarcasm.
Chandrababu’s government has taken a loan of Rs 73,362 crore. Apart from this, loans are being taken for Amaravati.
In Budget, Rs 6000 crore were allocated for Amaravati. Then, how is Amaravati a self-sustaining city questioned Jagan.
Babu is claiming State’s Own Revenues (SOR) have increased to Rs 1,01,985 crores in 2023-24. In 2025-26, the SOR will increase by 37% to Rs 1,27 lakh crores he said. This is another big lie of Chandrababu.
They showed that the expenditure was Rs 10,854 crore, which means minus 48% from last year, which is true. But in revised figures, they showed another Rs 15,000 crores in expenditure.
The budget has been shown to be Rs 3,22,359 crores. Isn’t it a play of figures?
Jagan also took time to complain about MLC elections. This is the first time in history that they were rigged, said Jagan. In the past 5 MLAs wanted to join us. Our people wanted to bring in 10 more. But I said no, said Jagan. I gave them opposition status, he added. That’s the difference between Babu and me.
If we are given mike, people will know facts. Since we are denied that, we have to go into people, said Jagan.
Jagan hit out at Pawan Kalyan and said he more than a corporator and less than a MLA. Pawan became MLA for the first time in his life, said Jagan sarcastically.
