Four YSR Congress MLCs have resigned and the Council Chairman nominated by YSR Congress is sitting on them without approving.
Jayamangala Venkata Ramana recently resigned for YSR Congress. Buzz is that he will sit down as the MLC too. He has tenure till March 2029.

Sources say that Jayamangala will be joining Janasena and his MLC berth will go to Balineni Srinivasa Reddy.
There is one berth vacant in Chandrababu’s cabinet. Pawan Kalyan reportedly promised Balineni to make him a Cabinet Minister.

As soon as he is elected to the Council, Balineni will get the cabinet berth, they say.
Pawan Kalyan already spoke to Chandrababu Naidu to this extent.

If this is true, it is a grave mistake by Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan.
Also, TDP and Janasena came to power making severe corruption allegations against Jagan Government.
US federal prosecutors charged Gautam Adani and seven others in the United States regarding a multibillion-dollar bribery and fraud scheme. The US authorities allege that the group allegedly bribed Indian officials for securing solar energy contracts.
The indictment statement specially mentions bribing 1,750 Crore Rupees to the high-ranked officials of the Andhra Pradesh Government in 2021.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is in the dock for these bribes.
Balineni Srinivasa Reddy was the Power Minister during the said period. Balineni gave a Press Statement that he was not aware of the issue and did not sign the file. He added that it was passed by the then Cabinet and it is an attempt to push the responsibility on the entire cabinet.
Balineni has claimed innocence but it is not proved yet.
If taken into the cabinet, the case should be dropped to help Balineni. This is against the spirit of what Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan advocated before the elections.
Balineni may be a pick of Pawan Kalyan but once he is in the cabinet, everything will be the collective responsibility. So, Naidu can not escape from it.
This will be a mistake politically too.
Balineni joining Janasena is already creating problems in the district. The TDP leadership in the district fought with Balineni for years together and faced a lot of harassment during Congress and YSR Congress Governments.
In the Ongole constituency, it is a direct issue for Damacharla Janardhan. Balineni also harassed Janasena local leadership when Jagan was the Chief Minister.
Making him a Minister will send wrong signals in the districts and will also create unnecessary issues due to multiple power centers.
Moreover, it is widely believed that Balineni is just taking shelter in Janasena for the time being. He does not want to take the risk of being in the Opposition in a Hostile Government. Many even in the Janasena believe he will desert the party and go back to the YSR Congress.
If this happens, it will not only ruin Janasena but also the TDP in the district.
Pawan Kalyan maybe in a hurry to strengthen the party by admitting leaders like Balineni but it is important to take the right decisions. Chandrababu should help him understand the seriousness of such mistakes.
