The northern part of Andhra Pradesh is going to script an integral part of history today in the form of the inauguration of the Bhogapuram Airport. This airport is going to be launched today, August 1 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the stage is set for it.
The top leadership of the Andhra Pradesh government, including chief minister Chandrababu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and IT Minister Lokesh will be present at the ceremony along with Modi.
The Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram is being inaugurated today by PM Modi. This modern greenfield airport will significantly boost connectivity, trade and tourism for North Andhra, while commercial flights are set to begin on 17 August.
At around 11 AM, the Prime Minister will undertake a walk-through of the passenger terminal building of Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram.
Shortly after, he will inaugurate the airport and lay the foundation stone, inaugurate and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects worth over ₹17,900 crore in Bhogapuram.
Today is going to be a crucial part of history for Andhra Pradesh as the Bhogapuram airport, which will be replacing the flight operations at Vizag Airport is coming to life. This will be a crucial trade operation centre for entire north Andhra, and we will go down as one of the great implementation of the TDP+ government.
