It is now almost confirmed that YSR Congress Senior Leader and Nandhyala MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy and his daughter Akhila Priya are leaving the party and joining TDP. Bhima resigned to the PAC Chairman post obtained due to YSR Congress a short while ago indicating that he is severing ties with the party.

Bhuma spoke to the media after the resignation but did not go in to the details. He hinted about coming before media in the next few hours or few days. On the other side, Chandrababu sent a message to Bhuma’s rival TDP leaders to meet him in Vijayawada to ensure there is no friction with Bhuma’s entry in to the party.
This is a big blow to YSR Congress as Bhuma family are the founder members of the party. And it also indicates TDP is targeting the forte districts of YSR Congress which means next three years will be very tough. Bhuma’s party change is timed days within Jagan’s challenge of toppling the government.
