Indian Railways has launched a new trial system where the waitlist chart will now be prepared 24 hours before train departure, instead of just 4 hours earlier. This trial has begun in the Bikaner Division.
So far, passengers often waited till the last minute to find out if their waitlisted ticket was confirmed. The new rule gives travelers more time to plan or make alternate arrangements.
