BITS Pilani Plans To Enter Amaravati

Since the NDA took power in June this year, Andhra Pradesh has been flourishing with new investments from major companies and universities. Even the capital city works have been resumed under the charge of the new government.

The central government allocated a budget for the development of Amaravati and the state government also set deadlines to finish various construction works. Reportedly, the city will get a shape in less than three years.

According to the latest reports, renowned educational institution, BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences) is set to establish a new campus in Amaravati.

Just a couple of days ago, BITS representatives, along with the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials examined the potential sites in Kuragallu (near SRM University) and near the bypass at Venkatayapalem.

It was reported that a final decision will be taken by BITS management very soon. Currently, BITS has campuses in Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai. If things fall in place, Amaravati will also join the list.




Already, top educational institutes and universities, like SRM University, VIT and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham have campuses located in Amaravati. BITS is one of the top institutes in the country, and its establishment in Amaravati would be a jewel in the crown.
