BJP & YSRCP, Gali Mein Kushti, Delhi Mein Dosti

BJP and YSR Congress political clash

YSR Congress is facing tough times as every move seems to backfire. On September 2, during YSR Vardhanthi, the Party High Command asked leaders to celebrate on a large scale and serve food across the state.

Many leaders avoided spending money and stayed inactive, while some followed orders. In Nandigama, former MLA Mondithoka Jagan Mohana Rao served chicken biryani inside a Ganesh Mandapam. Even after police intervention, he argued and refused to stop, sparking outrage.

This incident turned into nationwide news. BJP leaders, from Union Minister Varma to senior leaders, attacked YSR Congress for anti-Hindu practices. They even recalled earlier controversial incidents, making the backlash more intense against the party.

Despite the criticism, neither Jagan Mohana Rao nor YSR Congress expressed regret. Instead of closing the issue with an apology, they defended their actions, which has worsened the matter. This shows how the party often prioritises ego over public sentiment.

The BJP, on the other hand, is being accused of double standards. While they criticise symbolic incidents, they stay silent on serious issues like Jagan’s disproportionate assets and Vivekananda Reddy’s case, where proceedings are delayed without clear accountability.

The CBI declared the Viveka case investigation complete without naming culprits or explaining the motive. Critics say BJP’s stance is mere eyewash, as it keeps political options open in Andhra Pradesh, leading to the perception of “Gali Mein Kushti, Delhi Mein Dosti.”
