Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu informed his alliance ministers of the same after meeting Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi the other day.

India’s first bullet train will connect Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The work on this route is progressing at a rapid pace. It is expected to be launched in 2026.

The central government decided to run bullet trains on seven different routes, including two routes in South India (Chennai-Bengaluru and Mumbai-Hyderabad).

Initially, AP was not a part of these routes but now, the Ministry of Railways decided to include a route to Andhra Pradesh as well. It is reported that a plan is being developed to connect Chennai, Bengaluru, Amaravati and Hyderabad in a bullet train route.

A new railway track should be laid on this route, and the union government is expected to make an official announcement once all the necessary preparations are completed.
