Political Strategist Prashant Kishor met Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu the other day at the latter’s Vijayawada Residence. They spoke for about three hours. Robbin Sharma’s Showtime Team which is already working for TDP is also present in the meeting.
After the meeting, Prashant Kishor mentioned to the media that it was a courtesy meeting and because Chandrababu is a senior politician.
But as they say, there will be no smoke without fire.
There are several speculations about what could be his role in the prospects of TDP with elections just three months to go.
Some people say it is too little time to show any impact.
So assuming Prashant Kishor is going to work with TDP, let us see what he can do.
Data is going to be the Goldmine for this election. Prashant Kishor’s team can hit the ground and find meticulous details of the mood of the people, the reports about the anti-incumbency, the opinion of the people about the candidates, MLAs, etc.
Three months is too little time to make any structural changes in TDP or Janasena.
But he can aid the parties in making informed changes while deciding seat-sharing, candidates, etc.
It would be a massive bonus if he could access the data already available with the I-PAC teams that are working with the YSR Congress.
Just imagine having a complete report about the strengths and weaknesses of YSR Congress’s organizational setup right from the Chief Minister to the Ministers, to the MLAs, to the incharges, and to local leaders.
But then, we do not know such data can be accessed in corporate companies. But imagine the amount of tension in the YSR Congress camp about a possible breach.
TDP already has set mechanism to prepare survey reports. PK can bring in another report that can be useful in tallying the already existing agencies to ascertain the mood of the public perfectly.
His teams can also figure out a proper manifesto by identifying the needs and wants of the people.
Most importantly we assume Robbin Sharma’s team is already working on TDP’s social media campaign. It is one area where there can be a lot of improvement when we see how Congress performed in the recent Telangana elections.
Prashant Kishor’s teams can bring that much-needed change.
The three months may be too less for any agency. But Andhra Pradesh is a familiar turf for Prashant Kishor. Also, his services may not be as elaborate as they are usually but he can definitely help in the last minute too.
