So far Eight MLAs and one MLC of YSR Congress have joined the Ruling Telugu Desam Party. Leader of Opposition despite his best efforts could not stop them, further there are indications that more MLAs may be leaving the party ahead of the budget session. Jagan is now threatening the outgoing MLAs with disqualification to stop them.

Jagan is reportedly telling that T-TDP and other opposition parties do not have numbers to put up No confidence motion on the Telangana government and hence could not stop the defections. But he is telling them he will call for the No confidence motion on the first day of the budget session.
Jagan’s plan is to disqualify those MLAs who vote in favour of TDP after the party’s whip. However Jagan missed a small point here, the defected MLAs can easily avoid it by abstaining to the voting. They can vote for YSR Congress but still associate with TDP since the latter have good numbers to win the No-confidence motion. So Jagan’s warning is not working with them.
