Case Filed Against Former YCP Minister

YCP Minister Seediri Appalaraju

For the last few days, YCP leaders have been landing in legal trouble for their wrongdoings during their rule from 2019-2024.

The latest one to join the list is former Minister Seediri Appalaraju. A case has been filed against him at Kasibugga Police Station by Palasa MLA Gouthu Sireesha and the local TDP leaders.

The case has been filed against Appalaraju for making derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the past.

During YCP’s rule, Seediri stated in the assembly that Chandrababu Naidu’s mental condition is unstable and he would certify it as a doctor.

He went on to say that the speaker should allow Chandrababu Naidu into assembly only after his mental condition becomes stable.

TDP leaders condemned these remarks back then but no action was taken against Appalaraju as his party was in rule.

Now, the government has changed and thus, Sireesha, along with TDP supporters filed a case against Appalaraju.

Speaking to the media, Sireesha said, “By ruining the political landscape in the state for five years, YCP filed false cases under various sections against many opposition leaders who spoke the truth and rightfully criticised them.”

“Former Minister Seediri made derogatory remarks against our leader Chandrababu Naidu garu despite being in a respectable position. Thus, we have filed a case against him and requested the police to take appropriate action,” she added.
