CBN: 74 Projects Started in Amaravati @ Rs 81,317 Cr

Amaravati development projects under Chandrababu Naidu

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu held a review meeting on the progress of projects in Amaravati, the state’s capital region. He said the Capital Region Development Authority proposed works worth ₹81,317 crore.

The meeting included MAUD minister Narayana, senior officials from CRDA and ADC, and contractors building the projects.

The CM revealed that tenders worth ₹50,552 crore have been called for in Amaravati. He shared that work has begun on 74 projects.

Projects on houses, other buildings, LPS infrastructure, roads, ducts, and stormwater management are underway, said Chandrababu. He urged officials to complete Amaravati in record time.

Chandrababu aims to finish the capital within three years, as Amaravati represents the hopes of five crore people in Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, the CRDA building is the first structure completed in the capital and will be inaugurated by him on August 15.

Amaravati is being designed based on the city-state model of Singapore.
