If the reports emerging from political circles are to be believed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had assured CM Chandrababu Naidu to compensate the loss of AP for losing Special Status. In his meeting with Naidu the other day, Modi admitted that Special Status is a sensitive issue which needs to be solved carefully.

Chandrababu reportedly brought to his notice how the issue panned out in to a sentiment in the state. Modi also told Naidu that it has come to his notice and will be solving that carefully indicating at a compensation package. He reportedly directed Naidu to sit with Finance Minister Arun Jaitley about funds for Polavaram and Revenue deficit.
After the meeting with Modi, CM Chandrababu Naidu sat with Arun Jaitley. Chandrababu reportedly asked him to come up with some package with clearly defined time limits. He also asked for the timelines of help for Polavaram, Amaravati and Revenue deficit, so that the state can plan its finances.
