Union Law Minister Sadananda Gowda confirmed that the Central government did not send any official communication to the governor over Section 8. Law Ministry is the appropriate authority to given an opinion but Sadananada Gowda said that the Home Ministry did not write to us seeking an opinion on this.

Gowda says Attorney-General Mukul Rohtagi may have advised the governor after the latter sought Rohtagi’s opinion for his personal information. However Union Home Ministry is in touch with Governor and Telangana government since August 2014 over Section 8.
A letter written by Center over the implementation of Section 8 was recently surfaced in media. Looks like the BJP led Central government is carefully vying all the options in political angle about the imposing of Section 8 of the AP State Reorganization Act.
