Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has written to BJP Union Minister Kishan Reddy to involve central investigation agencies in the case of producer Kedar’s death.
It is known that Kedar Selagamsetty died due to heart attack in Dubai. However, many have found the death to be mysterious. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy said his government was ready to take up investigation if anybody files a complaint.
The case has acquired significance as Kedar was said to be a business partner of KTR. Chamala wrote that there were multiple speculations regarding producer/ realtor Kedar’s death and said it would be best if a thorough and impartial investigation is taken up in the matter.
Chamala mentioned in his letter that there were allegations on BRS leaders and the presence of some of them in Dubai at the time of Kedar’s death.
The Congress MP also said that as per sources, the BRS leaders for the past 10 years had invested in Dubai realty through Kedar. Given the political sensitivity and public interest in the matter, it is pertinent to take up an investigation at the earliest and find those responsible, if any.
Chamala further wrote for a detailed and independent probe into the matter by Central agencies. He said this will address public apprehensions and instill faith in the system.
The request for probe gains traction as several BRS leaders allegedly routed their monies through Kedar. Kedar was also arrested in drugs case after which he shifted base to Dubai. So, his death has given rise to various theories.
