One of the biggest protest in the recent couple of decades is currently unfolding in Delhi as students are taking it to the streets to protest against education minister Dharmendra Pradhan. This is regarding the NEET question paper leakage, which became a sensation across the country.
It is now at a point where the central government is left with no option but to have Dharmendra Pradhan resign his position and meet the demands of the students.
However, the central government appears to be doing everything, but meet this particular demand from the students. Even the latest national Media reports are suggesting that the central government is in no mood to let Dharmendra resign his post.
The kind of resilience that the education minister is showing despite all public backlash is some kind of a case study. Generally, when something of this scale happens, the concerned minister prefers to take the moral obligation and resign the post. But that is not even remotely the case with this education minister now.
The strange thing is that the government is prepared to fully take the public blame rather than let this one education minister go. This is the remark that is being made by a leading political analyst who had been closely following national politics.
Even while all hell is breaking loose, the union cabinet is firm on continuing Dharmendra Pradhan as the education minister and that’s against the very cause of the ongoing students protest in the first instance.
