Andhra Pradesh government had decided to hold the winter session of the state assembly in Amaravati. The session will happen at the same spot where the Bhoomi pooja for the capital happened. Government is planning to hire a consultant to prepare ground for the session there.

The legislators will be given accommodation in hotels at Guntur and Vijayawada. The Chief Minister had a word with Speaker Kodela on this issue. The session will happen in the third week of December. The state government will shift its focus on to this once the Amaravati event is completed.
This move reaffirms that the government is serious about shifting the administration to AP even though it is entitled to use Hyderabad as common capital for 10 years. The Chief Minister has already shifted his base to Vijayawada and is staying there 5-6 days a week.
