Although Justice Sudershan Reddy, a Telugu leader, contested as the opposition candidate, Chandrababu made it clear that he prioritised a Bharat-first approach and backed CP Radhakrishnan. Before his election, Radhakrishnan served as the Governor of Maharashtra and resigned after being chosen as Vice President.

Chandrababu also shared memories of his long association with CP Radhakrishnan. He will attend the swearing-in as a prominent representative of the NDA alliance.

The ceremony will take place at 10 am at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday. President Draupadi Murmu will administer the oath to CP Radhakrishnan.
