The Jagan government has been extensively using the AP CID to apply pressure on Chandrababu Naidu. His arrest in the AP skill development case by the CID suggested the same. However, Naidu was sent out on bail by the High Court.
Then, the Jagan government moved the court, asking to impose restrictions and include new conditions in the bail that was given to CBN. They asked the court to have DSP officers alongside CBN through the course of the bail period.
Today, the High Court passed the final verdict on the same and this clearly disappoints Jagan as he didn’t get what he wanted with the same.
The court rejected the CID’s suggestion of keeping two DSP officers with CBN. The court saw no merit in the same.
The High Court continued that order, asking CBN not to hold rallies or speak with the media about the facts of the case. Barring these two existing conditions, the court didn’t add any new conditions, which the Jagan government desperately wanted.
AP government and CID extensively pushed to add new conditions in the CBN bail order, but the court didn’t encourage the same.
