YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party have been reduced to just eleven MLAs in the recent elections. This is a big fall from 151 MLAs in the house to just eleven.
Eighteen is the Minimum Number that is needed to get the Opposition Status in AP Assembly.
Opposition Status means Jagan will become the Leader of the Opposition and will get a Cabinet Rank.
The Leader Of the Opposition will get the second importance in the house (after the leader of the house) in getting the Mike.
YSR Congress MLAs requested the Assembly Affairs Minister to allow Jagan’s car into the Assembly Premises like the Ministers.
They also requested that Jagan take an oath just after the ministers instead of taking an oath as an MLA in alphabetical order.
Chandrababu Naidu okayed both the requests. Chandrababu’s magnanimity hurt the party supporters. They opined Jagan does not deserve this niceties after how he behaved in 2019-24. But the cadre is proven right.

Yes, the Opposition Leader should take oath after the Chief Minister.
But Jagan is not the Opposition Leader now. He was supposed to take oath as an MLA in alphabetical order.
Since Jagan’s name starts with ‘Y’, he was supposed to be among the last MLAs to take the oath.
But Chandrababu gave him an exception. But Sakshi paid back for it in its dirty style.
