Naidu refuses Masala for Media

While the meeting is about reviewing the drought in the country, it assumed significance since this is the first meeting between Naidu and Modi after center clarifying that Special Status can not be given to AP.

Naidu refused to take questions about the possible break-up between TDP and BJP and clarified that he can not offer the Masala media is looking for. However Naidu did not hide his disappointment about poor allocation of funds from the Center during Hudhud, floods in three districts and on other occasions.

Naidu once again reiterated that AP should be accorded Special Status as only Assam and other North Eastern states are behind the state after the bifurcation. He also clarified that AP is also in the range of the states with Special Status. He also told the media that he reminded Modi that center should be committed to Polavaram, Amaravati and bridging the revenue deficit.
