Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy is a grassroots leader in the YSR Congress party. He became the MLA of Chandragiri in the 2014 elections defeating political heavyweight, Galla Aruna Kumari.
Chevireddy’s biggest strength is his availability to the people. He even spends own money on a few occasions and which improved his image in the people and ensured his second term victory.
He is always assisted by a strong cadre of the party. But things have changed drastically.
The MLA is accused of ignoring the cadre that sailed with him for many years and giving prominence to newcomers in the local elections.
Those who got benefitted were inactive and the loyal cadre is staying inactive due to anger toward the MLA. Some cadre and local leaders were upset due to pending bills.
Bhaskar Reddy’s office which used to be buzzing with people all the time wears a deserted look these days.
Chevireddy has become complacent for a long time allowing the issue to become serious.
